Keep calm and regenerate neurons

Mushrooms don’t have nerve cells, but humans do. A nerve cell is an electrically excitable cell that communicates with other neurons. Just human brain has approximately up to 90 billion neurons. The maintenance and growth of the billions of neurons largely depend on nerve growth factor (NGF), a neuropeptide synthesized within the brain.
